I'm not gonna lie... as I kid I went crazy over anything that was glow-in-the-dark. And even though I don't have any kids myself, I know that many of our fans do. When I saw this idea, I just HAD to share it because I know that many of my friends with children are constantly looking for fun ways to get them crafting (and disconnected from their electronics for a little while). Heck, I may even invite Greg's nieces and nephew over to make some of these and make some for myself!
This project will pretty much only cost you time and a little money for your child's favorite glow-in-the-dark paint colors. If you are re-purposing your candle jars, you won't have to pay anything for those! Also, it looks like it would take less than an hour to accomplish these uber-cool galaxy jars. Before you get started, please read this article for step-by-step instructions on how to safely clean and reuse your candle jars written by Snapguide. We also understand that getting the candle wax and wicks out of the jars is only half the battle - the other half being the battle of removing the paper label from the glass jar!
Enjoy and stay bright!
